how to develop your own website

Here's to FurEver

The importance of adopting pets who are in need of a forever home.

Why should I adopt a pet?

When you adopt a pet you:
Save a life and open up space in the shelter for another life.
Give an animal a second chance at life.
Receive unconditional love from an animal who needs unconditional love as well.
Save money, rather than paying thousands for an animal who was most likely bred through cruel, unethical, commercial breeding.
Get a workout partner!
Change your life for the better!
Have more joy and a LOT more snuggles!

Pricing of Adoption

Pricing can vary for different adoption organizations, but this is an average: $50-500. Now this is a large average but it is so vast because each adoption organization is going to do things differently, depending on their practices they will cost more or less. Though the price range is vast, the love that you will receive from your future pet is endless, nevertheless, make sure to consider your budget before looking for a pet who needs a forever home.

What's included in a pet's adoption fees?

Often vaccinations are required for adoption organizations to perform before you can adopt your pet.
You can decide whether you would like a microchip inserted or not.
The animal is often tested for different viruses and diseases.
Flea and tick medicine can be administered upon request.
Spaying or neutering.
A general wellness appointment with a veterinarian who considers the pets past, present, and future environments.
And lastly, general administrative fees that change from adoption organization to adoption organization.

Important Things to Remember:

  • Find a Good, Trustworthy Organization or Shelter - You cannot always trust adoption organizations and shelters to be completely trustworthy: ask questions, research their reliability, and take time to consider your options.
  • Time Considerations - Before commiting to adoption, consider how often you are home and how often you can commit time to play, exercise, and love your new pet.
  • Are You Prepared? - Are you ready for an animal to be in your home? Do you have the food, toys, cleaning supplies, etc. you need? Make sure you are prepared before you get your pet so that you can provide them with the best care possible.
  • Do Your Own Research - There are many things to remember and we can't possible list them all here so make sure you know what you are getting into before you make a commitment.

Testimonials

I have been so pleased with the communication and approachability of this website. It is because of this website that I decided it was time to adopt a dog. I now own a bengal cat, her name is Lani, who I love and adore!

When buying dogs in the past I always bought them from a breeder. After I found this website I could see the importance of adopting and immediately went in search for another dog. It was two months later that I adopted Molly, my cocker spaniel (pictured above).
